ATiドライバのダメっぷりに耐えかねて、とうとう ELSAのファンレス7300LE を購入。

Firefoxがクソ遅いサイトが速くなったりはしなかったが、信じられんほど快適にGoogle Earthが動く。なんとなくだが、入力遅延が無くなったような気がしなくもない。入力が表示されるまでのラグ、と考えると、確かにグラボの性能は関係してそうな気はする。

期待してたcompiz/berylはマルチモニタではうまく動かないみたい。 動かしてる人 はいるから、動かないこともないのだろうけど、nvidia TwinViewで動かしてるのかも。TwinViewだと複数のモニタがひとつの大きなディスプレイとして認識されるようで *1 、最大化やら中央メニューやらが使いにくい。壁紙も比率が違っちゃうし。

まあ3Dデスクトップは今後の開発に期待かなー。あると便利なのは、ノートでよくわかってるんだけどね。

ついでにxorg.conf晒しておくか。 TwinViewとXinerama両方試した形跡があるというか、Screenセクションのコメントアウトされてるところ入れ換えればすぐ戻せる。
